Following many years of successful deployment within the automotive industry, Kyocera now offers superior performance in launching the new TEC range. The use of elements with excellent crystal structure and alignment allows the end user to benefit from reduced power consumption. The applications of in-house, world renowned ceramic technology also ensures that the high quality standards synonymous with Kyocera will be maintained. Mitsuru Imanaka, European president of Kyocera Fineceramics GmbH, said 'This is an exciting new development for Kyocera that has emerged as a result of the high level of investment made within our company on R&D for the direct benefit of our customers. Kyocera remains committed to maintaining its position as the world leader in ceramic technology development. This range is already in mass production and is compatible with a majority of well known butterfly package styles. It is planned to add a further series that will be suitable for use in TOSA based packages. The TECs meet the reliability requirements of Telcordia®1 GR-468-CORE Issue 2 (Sept 2004) and are also compliant with the EU RoHS directives.
