Kyocera win Green Product of the Year 2008 at Document Manager Awards

14 November 2008 - Kyocera's ECOSYS printer technology receives top accolade.

Document Manager Magazine has crowned Kyocera's ECOSYS printer range as their Green Product of the Year 2008.

The annual DM Awards allows the readers of Document Manager magazine to reward the outstanding products, suppliers and projects of the year. The 2008 Awards saw in excess of 5000 readers vote for their favourite products and companies.

Kyocera's ECOSYS printer technology uses unique long-life drums and developers which are designed and guaranteed to last for the design life of the printer. In other laser printers, these items are contained in the consumable cartridge and replaced each time the toner runs out; by making them permanent components, the amount of waste generated by our printers is reduced – as well as cutting the cost of consumables, typically by more than 50%.

Kyocera's Marketing Director Tracey Rawling Church said of the award: "We are delighted that out ECOSYS range has been awarded this accolade. Kyocera have been championing sustainability since the ECOSYS launch in 1992. We are extremely focused on reducing the environmental impact of business activities, as demonstrated by our Green Card Network and it is an honour that the readers of Document Manager have recognised our efforts."
