Kyocera signs first distribution partner for 10 years

20 November 2008 - TCO and green computing underpin commitment to generating new reseller opportunities

Kyocera has added CCD (the distribution arm of Computacenter) to its list of UK distributors to encourage resellers to promote important themes such as total cost of ownership (TCO) and the environmental impact of printing.

CCD will distribute the entire Kyocera printer range, from personal devices to high-end A3 colour printers and is the first new Kyocera distributor in almost 10 years.

The distributor has put a series of services and initiatives in place to support resellers interested in exploring the opportunities that selling Kyocera printers may bring. These include a Kyocera Solution Guide for resellers, as well as the usual high standards of support and advice customers in the channel have come to expect from CCD.

Alicia Shepherd, Kyocera Mita's UK Distribution Sales Manager, said: "When choosing a new distribution partner, it was important for us to find one that would offer real value to our reseller customers. More resellers are becoming aware of how issues such as TCO and green computing matter to customers. CCD is a distributor that fits in with this approach, as it understands how to help resellers take these messages out to their customers."

"CCD has a commitment to providing resellers with an unbeatable combination of support, services and leading technology to enable them to build sustainable profitable lines of business,” said Andrew Chandler, CCD Sales Director. “Working with Kyocera is part of this commitment – providing resellers with a range of products and services they can add to their portfolios."

The full range of Kyocera printers is now available through CCD. A range of events and promotions are available to resellers interesting in finding out more. Details are available on the CCD website: www.ccdviplounge.co.uk.
