Kyocera brings high speed colour printing to the office with new TASKalfa MFPs

02 November 2009 - High speed, high quality and unrivalled ease of use deliver a new standard for office colour printing.

Kyocera today launches three new colour multifunction products designed to meet the needs of high volume office document requirements. The TASKalfa 550c, 650c, and 750c have advanced colour management functionality, comprehensive paper handling facilities and superior ease-of-use which ensure they perform to the highest standards even in the most demanding office environments.

With a print speed of up to 75ppm in monochrome and 65 ppm in colour and a maximum scanning speed of 77ppm the new TASKalfa devices combine speed with consistently high image quality. All three devices offer true 1200 x 1200 dpi resolution ensuring that fine lines and letters are as clear and sharp as details in images.

Flexible paper handling

Designed to support high volume printing requirements, the new TASKalfa devices have excellent paper handling capabilities. With a maximum paper capacity of 6000 sheets and the facility to replenish paper and toner during a print run, productivity is maximised and high volume print runs can be performed without interruption.

The TASKalfa devices handle a wide variety of media, from card stock up to 300gsm, to A3-plus paper. They are also capable of printing banners of up to 1.2m in length. A wide range of finishing options is also available to facilitate the creation of booklets and pre-punched documents.

Enhanced ease of use

User friendliness was a key consideration in the design of the new TASKalfa series. The large, easy-to-read operation panel is designed to be intuitive and to enable the straightforward performance of everyday tasks. Practical, storable templates make more complex workflows far simpler to perform.

Rachel Dean, Product Manager at Kyocera, comments: “With the new TASKalfa 550c, 650c and 750c we are bringing high quality, high-speed colour MFPs to the office environment. We have focussed on ease-of-use and paper-handling flexibility to ensure that the new machines enhance productivity in any office. Image quality is also extremely high and the devices are equipped with industry standard colour management technology for users who require greater control over the final colour output.”

Security features

In order to satisfy the stringent security requirements of modern business, the TASKalfa devices are equipped with built-in firewall and 802.1X network authentication to restrict unauthorised access to systems and data. Additional security features include secure PDF scanning which controls access to scanned documents, and secure transmission enabled by SSL and optional IPsec support.

The new TASKalfa 550c, 650c and 750c will be available from Kyocera partners from 2nd November 2009.
