Kyocera launch new high-speed colour model

Kyocera are proud to announce the launch of the latest premium model in the ECOSYS colour laser printer range - the FS-C5400DN.

Kyocera’s latest colour device delivers documents at a rate of 35 pages per minute, which not only makes it the fastest laser printer in this range, but also the printer with the highest paper capacity thanks to several optional paper cassettes.

In an elegant and compact design by F.A. Porsche, the FS-C5400DN is designed for use in business environments and satisfies all modern quality requirements. With a print speed of 35 pages per minute in both black and white and colour, it is ideal for customers with high productivity requirements or print volumes.

Key features include high print speed and paper feed capacity of up to 2,650 sheets (650 as standard), plus a paper-out tray that holds 500 sheets. The FS-C5400DN is equipped with a powerful 733-MHz-processor and 256 MB RAM, which can be expanded by 1 GB of RAM, as well as an optional 40 GB hard disk for extensive document management needs. Duplex function and network capability are also built in as standard features of the FS-C5400DN.

Like the other products in the range – the FS-C5100DN, FS-C5200DN and FS-C5300DN – the new FS-C5400DN is based on KYOCERA-patented ECOSYS technology. Thanks to the unit's extremely durable components, the only consumable it uses is toner. This, and the printer's high toner capacity, ensures minimum printing costs, even when colour documents are printed.

The FS-C5400DN has MultiBit technology for up to 9,600 dpi print quality, which enables the print out of 16 grey tones. It also has an extended colour space for more vivid colours and a trapping function for the precise printing of texts on coloured backgrounds.

Comprehensive features thanks to new controller
The ECOSYS printer's new controller technology not only ensures fast data processing, it also provides optimum protection against unauthorised access to confidential documents through a range of security features. These features include SSL encryption, interface blocking and user restriction through IP filter. An improved USB Host support also enables system access without a PC.
