Kyocera sets new standards for office printers

02 February 2009 - The new FS-1350DN from Kyocera offers outstanding productivity in the workplace

The FS-1350DN is the newest member of the KYOCERA office printer family to be introduced to the market.

Following on from the ECOSYS Printers FS-1100 and FS-1300D, the FS-1350DN comes complete with a high printing speed of up to 30 pages per minute, an LCD display, network connectivity as standard, as well as a USB host port, allowing direct printing from a USB memory devices . Using Kyocera’s renowned ECOSYS technology, the FS-1350DN offers low environmental impact combined with highly competitive running costs.

The FS-1350DN has extensive functions, such as flexible paper processing ranging from A6 to A4. The LCD display on the FS-1350DN is unique to the mono entry level printers and the messages it sends are clear and easy to understand.

Quality is high on the agenda with a 1200 x1200 dpi resolution for printouts. The FS-1350DN also offers network connectivity as standard, allowing users to share it within the team. In order to handle ever more complex data with the highest possible efficiency and speed, the controller has been fitted with a highly integrated 500 MHz speed PowerPC CPU and a 128MB memory storage facility. The 250-sheet paper cassette and the integrated 50-sheet universal feed enable quick and flexible paper handling.

The paper capacity can be extended to up to two 250-sheet paper cassettes which can accommodate paper sizes down to A6.

The FS-1350DN continues to follow Kyocera’s existing environmental policy. The casing of the ECOSYS Printer contains no damaging halogens, such as chlorine, fluorine, iodine or bromine; and the motherboard, along with all cables and wires, is completely lead-free.
KYOCERA also uses environmentally-friendly recycled cardboard for its packaging and the FS-1350DN also carries the Energy Star Standard.

Kyocera’s Marketing Director, Tracey Rawling Church concludes: “We have designed this new series of products so that the user can purchase exactly the functionality that is required for their application. This ensures a high level of efficiency which, added to Kyocera’s unbeatably low running costs, makes the new printers a powerful tool for businesses and home users alike.”

This new printer for the workplace is available from February 2009 and is priced at £299.00
