Kyocera and Reading Football Club are proud to announce their second annual Toddle Waddle at the Madejski Stadium on 31st October 5.00 – 6.00pm to raise money for the Meningitis Trust. Since its inception in 1998, toddlers throughout the country have raised over £1.7 million towards fighting meningitis by waddling their way around schools, playgrounds, parks and playing fields and it is hoped that this year, enough money will be made to smash the £2 million mark!
Throughout October, Toddle Waddles will be taking place all over the UK and Ireland, and Kyocera and Reading FC would like to invite all under fives from Reading and the surrounding areas to come to the Madejski stadium and waddle round the pitch for charity! The event promises to be excellent fun for all the family and all proceeds will go to the Meningitis Trust. There will be plenty of friendly characters on hand to help out the waddlers too; Kingsley, Reading FC's cuddly lion mascot, will be taking part and Monty the duck, official mascot of the Toddle Waddle, will also be making a special appearance.
Kyocera representative, Tracey Rawling-Church, comments “The Toddle Waddle is a fantastic way for parents and their children to help raise money for an incredibly worthy cause. Last year the event was a great success and we hope that this year it will be even bigger!”
All funds from the event are raised through sponsorship, and every child who gets sponsored will receive a certificate and a goodie bag for their efforts. Come alone or bring your playgroup but please register first to ensure your child receives their goody bag. Everyone who comes will also be given free entry to the SoccerPM game that evening between Reading FC reserves and Arsenal FC reserves should they wish to attend. Kick off is at 7pm.
