The range is the successor to the popular KM-3035 / KM-4035 / KM-5035 series and offers the same reliable Kyocera Mita engine, but with significantly enhanced features such as faster scan speeds and a larger memory (512MB standard). Each of the three new models is a true MFP, offering print, copy and colour scan as standard, as well as optional fax.
The KM-3050, KM-4050 and KM-5050 include many features which enable optimum productivity including a print speed of up to 50 pages-per-minute (ppm) for the KM-5050 and the inclusion of a single-pass double-sided scanner to ensure fast scanning and copying. The monochrome A3 MFPs also offer users USB host printing (PDF file direct printing) for ease of use, while a new PDF expansion kit for PDF encryption and high compression offer more flexible scanning options. Furthermore, although these are monochrome devices, they include colour capabilities such as colour scan and colour touch panel with colour thumbnails of files scanned to the hard disk for greater visibility.
The KM-3050 / KM-4050 / KM-5050 are the first to be equipped with Kyocera Mita’s new WiseCore technology. WiseCore is a single-chip architecture that allows multiple jobs to be processed simultaneously and builds a common platform for all future Kyocera Mita machines. Additionally, the user can store print files, scanned documents and incoming faxes in document boxes on the multifunctional´s hard disk drive with standard 40 GB. This allows direct output without going through a PC.
The new range has a maximum paper capacity of 4,200 sheets, requiring less frequent replenishment of paper stocks. A newly developed 3,000 sheet finisher is available as an option for each model. The KM-3050, KM-4050 and KM-5050 are all security-ready products with network authentication and optional data security kits.
