Kyocera announce winner of UK ECOSYS Endurance Competition

First ECOSYS technology printer scoops the prize
The winner was Fiona MacKenzie who runs a professional and consultancy service in Bristol. She is still using a Kyocera FS-1500, an analogue laser A4 printer capable of 10ppm and the first printer to incorporate Kyocera’s ECOSYS technology, which she purchased in October 1993.
Fiona retrained about 15 years ago to become an interior designer, so used the FS-1500 for assignments at college. She even had a bespoke cabinet built for it alongside her computer. Fiona has suffered severe rheumatoid arthritis for many years and cannot use a pen, so all her correspondence has been done via the computer and printed on the FS-1500.
She said: “I recently upgraded to Windows Vista and with the help of Kyocera staff got it working with my printer. I was so happy with the level of support that I received. The printer has done over 18000 pages and is still reliable.”
By proving her FS-1500 printer had gone beyond the extra mile, Fiona has won a brand new FS-C5015N colour A4 ECOSYS printer which has now taken up pride of place in her study.
Kyocera printers and multifunctional products are renowned for being robust and reliable and the ECOSYS Endurance competition was designed to find out how long its long-life products really last.

The ECOSYS endurance competition, which was launched across Europe, the Middle East and Africa in October 2007 sought to find the oldest working Kyocera Mita device in each region. The competition saw entries from customers in countries including Bahrain, Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Norway, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Syria, UK and Ukraine.
