KYOCERA DOCUMENT SOLUTIONS UK LAUNCHES PRINTERS FOR NEPA

FS-2100DN & FS-C8650DN

KYOCERA Document Solutions has launched the FS-2100DN an A4 mono printer from KYOCERA’s 6th generation of ECOSYS technology and the FS-C8500DN, a colour A3 printer to NEPA. The printers, which are both ideal in an educational environment, will be available to members of the NEPA framework from November 2012 at the same price as their predecessors FS-2020DN and the FS-8500DN.

Part of KYOCERA’s 6th generation of award-winning ECOSYS sustainable print technology, the FS-2100DN is an advanced network printer designed for smaller teams and workgroups. Capable of printing 40ppm, this A4 printer benefits from long-life components and features a user-friendly design with a numeric key pad and larger LCD screen for ease of use. A compact mono printer, the FS-2100DN also offers gigabit Ethernet and improved security making it ideal for those teams working with sensitive information.

With its flexible handling, the FS-2100DN has up to 6 paper sources and 2,600 sheets or a 2,000 sheet bullet paper feeder available. The FS-2100DN’s TEC is 30% lower than its predecessor the FS-2020DN and the lower energy consumption reduces both energy bills and CO2 emissions.

The FS-C8650DN is a powerhouse A3 colour printer which provides efficient lower cost printing. Its enhanced technology and improvements are based on KYOCERA’s award-winning TASKalfa technology and it offers a wide range of paper-handling options, including tri-folding and an additional booklet finisher/folder. Capable of printing up to 55ppm in high quality colour, the FS-C9650DN has up to 8 paper input sources, or 7,650 sheets in total. The FS-C8650DN can print banners of up to 1.2m and delivers 100% engine speed on duplex prints. It also offers a job-skip function giving improved flexibility in high volume environments.

Mark Hayter, Senior Procurement Manager of NEUPC and the NEPA framework manager, said “KYOCERA’s on-going commitment to developing sustainable technology is integral to their continued value for money offering made available to the HE sector via the NEPA framework.”

Elaine Hewitt, National Frameworks Manager, KYOCERA Document Solutions said: “We’re delighted to offer the NEPA framework our extremely cost-effective printers which offer unbeatable TCO and enable the education sector to achieve their goals for best value procurement.
